Get to know Jonathan Posin
Dr. Posin graduated cum laude in Engineering and Applied Physics from Harvard University and earned his M.D. degree Cum Laude from Tufts University School of Medicine. During this time, he also served as a research assistant in the Biomedical Engineering Department at University Hospital/Boston University School of Medicine. He served his internship, and an additional year of surgical training at Tufts New England Medical Center Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He then completed his residency in Radiology at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). He subsequently spent a year as a Research Fellow in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and a Clinical Instructor in Radiology at UCSF.
Dr. Posin is a Diagnostic Radiologist, Shareholder, and Chief Technology Officer of Bay Imaging Consultants Medical Group and serves as Chair of the Informatics Committee. He is also a Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Posin has served as Chief of Radiology at Doctors Medical Center and Medical Director of North Bay MRI Center and Advanced MRI of Pleasanton.
Dr. Posin has given many invited lectures and has been published in medical journals, including Radiology and the American Journal of Neuroradiology. He has served on numerous professional committees and consults with corporations, individuals, and private industry. Dr. Posin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology and has been awarded a certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology. His memberships include the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound, the Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, and the American Society of Spine Radiology.
